In 2008, the Charland Law Firm opened its Maine office in the town of Fairfield which is centrally located allowing the office to accept cases from any part of the state. The Maine office focuses primarily on legal malpractice, personal injury, real estate fraud and misrepresentation, debt collector harassment, and schemes by financial services and utility and telephone companies that defraud consumers.
The firm seeks cases from those who have signed up for promised low rates for internet/telephone services, only to receive bills for much more than the promised rate. The Firm has reason to believe a certain large company has been misleading consumers into signing up at a promised discounted rate and then charging far more than the promised rate, along with undisclosed hidden costs.
